It's high time you get familiar with Bianca Hill. The Melbourne-based beauty serves the most inspiring plays with makeup - whether for a night out with the girls or a subtle office look. We're always looking for simple, small changes to make the day better; there's nothing like an updated look to get you into work mode.
Where do you find inspiration for your looks?
Oh my gosh, everywhere! TV, movies, music, magazines, travelling! I'm never not consuming media and the world around me. A blessing and a curse, haha. But recently, I've been obsessed with Charli XCX, her music and all her looks. Her makeup artist is @lilly_keys on Instagram.
For the uninitiated and makeup wary, where is a good place to start for building a daily look? How can we seamlessly add a little extra colour to the everyday?
It can definitely seem intimidating, but my favourite types of colourful makeup looks are just single pops of colour. Be it on the lid, the inner corner, or even testing out a bright blush moment! Those options are so effortless, and perfect for anyone looking to dip their toes into colour.
How does makeup play into your overall style and expression?
My personal style is actually quite pared back and not very girly. I mostly wear jeans, plain t-shirts and blazers. My creative expression really comes out in my makeup. I like to keep my outfits simple, so that my makeup looks stand out, and it's the most "me" I've ever felt.
What products do you always have on hand?
Brow Soap is my #1! I use it everyday, without fail, to get that brow lamination look. Followed by that, I always have a tinted lip balm in my handbag wherever I go.
What is your #1 tip?
Skin first, makeup second. If you take care of your skin, applying makeup and achieving a flawless finish will be 150% easier!
Any advice for adding autumnal hues to our faces this season?
Yes, well, I just came back from New York winter and berry-toned blushes are going to be massive this season! And I don't think green makeup is going anywhere, I predict we're going to see heaps of olive.
Talk us through your ideal makeup look for your new Reliquia Collective pairing.
The thing that I love about Reliquia and Blanca is that they are staple and statement pieces at the same time. My inspiration was to really let those pieces do all the work, I wanted some "model off duty" late night glam that caught your eye in the flash but also didn't overwhelm the look. A bronzy smudged eye, bright blush and a nude lip is my go-to for a girls night out like this one.
